Do you lack the time to write and get frustrated about it? You are not alone. Most writers never get to finish what they started because life doesn't always allow for hobbies. The answer? Don't treat it like a hobby. Plan your writing times. If you give it a go on a schedule you can at least put down ideas or interesting things you saw or did. When the feeling hits you to write (I can't force myself to write when it hits it hits hard) you can get more done by looking at your notes.
Another time saver is an electronic recorder. Have an idea or maybe an entire poem or book plot in your head but hey dinner isn't done or you are driving. Well just turn on the recorder and don't lose a single word! This would have tripled my output of poetry! I live in a 21 hours a day world that doesn't allow time to be pen and paper ready. I have fogetten most of my best stuff (yeah it was my best and I am sticking with that excuse ;-) ).
Okay so no earth shattering ideas or tips here but this is to just get the conversation going. Share your tips with us!
I need to stop treating writing as a hobby. Your right.
