Bringing Out the Emotions

Good morning fellow poets and readers of poetry. It is dark and rainy here today and that always puts me into a great mood to write. Sometimes not so great a mood to review or exist but writing yes!!

So what puts you in the mood to write? Coffee? A muse? The weather? Happiness? A book, music, movie or TV show? What brings out the best in your abilities? Do you ever try to force your writing only to end up deleting all traces of it. I have met a few friends online that do that all the time. They try so hard when their hearts just are not into it and then rather then save it and tune it up when they are in the mood they rid the world of it instead.

What is bad to you maybe a bad poem because at the end of the day your opinion is what matters when regarding your work. However, recycle it!! Save it in a folder marked "rough draft" and when the mood hits you open it up and play around with it. Maybe your opinion won't change on the poem but sometimes you find a good line that turns into a great new poem.

So the tip of the day is no matter what stirs the imagination go with it! And never delete anything!!! Go green with your writing and recycle it.

Love, Mark
